Ladies and Not-Ladies! We have a WINNER! That's right! The grand prize of an official Hodgepodge Society mug was presented to Bill Lyon at the Hodgepodge Society's NEW New Year's Eve Bash!! Click HERE to see Bill's entry. We'd like to thank everyone who participated and if you run into Lady Laurie Bolewitz Bordeaux Jr., she's got an official Hodgepodge Society mini-button for you. Everyone's a winner! If you're so inclined, keep sending us pics, otherwise we'll have to come up with something even more extravagant for next year's Hodgepoliday Sweepstakes! Click on the pics below to see Lord Robert Von Isenberg and Sir Joseph Lyons Esq. picking up the mug from the Hodgepodge Society sweatsho...err...skilled artisan guild. Also take a look at how happy Bill is after he get's his prize. Gosh, it makes me happy to see folks enjoy beverage containers.

The Hodgepolidays are here and boy, oh boy are we excited. The Hodgepoliday is the Hodgepodge Society's traditional non-denominational late year celebration that has everyone full of glee and pork roast. The origins and customs of the Hodgpolidays are intricate, complicated, and, at times, terrifying...but that's a story for another time. However, there's 1 tradition that you, the non-Hodgepodge Society member, can take part in...the Hodgepoliday Sweepstakes! Take a look at this year's Hodgepoliday portrait.

Handsome devils, aren't they? It features Dutchy Fredrick Archibald Betzner, Deputy Joshua "Bottle Chuckin'" Futrell PhD, Chancellor Bradford Keller DDS, Sir Joseph Lyons Esquire and Lord Robert Von Isenberg in traditional and ceremonial Hodgpoliday garb. As you can tell, the Hodgepolidays are a happy time. So why not make yourself happy by winning some official Hodgepodge Society merchandise?! Here's what you've got to do. Print out this years Hodgepoliday portrait and take a picture of it somewhere. "Well, where should I take a picture of it?", you ask, momentarily pausing while you're sculpting a bust of Raoul Julia. Anywhere! Naturally, the more ridiculous, the better. We want to see pictures of our portrait from the bathrooms of dive bars to leaning against a wall in the Forbidden City. The one thing we won't punish is creativity. Every pic we get through January 1st, 2007 will go up on this very website and the best one will be awarded with some fashionable Hodgepodge Society gear! It's truly the perfect contest. Keep checking this page for the entries! Good luck and Happy Hodgepolidays! Email all entries to info@hodgepodgesociety.com

The Entries

Here's our portrait festively decorating a dorm door at Duquesne University! Here's hoping we someday acheive a Menudo-like status as far as girls hanging us up on doors goes.
Here's some folks forming a Human Menorah with the Hodgepoliday portrait. We're not sure if they're planning on staying out there for 8 nights, but you've gotta love that kind of Holiday commitment. I just can't wait to see them form a human dradle!
These two entries come from loyal Hodgepodgian, Bill Lyon. The one one the left gives a twisted look into Bill's personal life. We're not sure if he's being held against his will or if he's there just for fun, but we are sure the pig is terrified. The one on the right is truly a major historical find!! Bill snapped this picture on the streets of Pompeii! It appears as if one of the unearthed paintings shows a grim portrait of things to come. We were either revered as gods or a bunch of guys in sweaters anchored the evening news in Pompeii. We've got scinetists working on it as we speak. Thanks for the pics, Bill!
Here's an entry from friend of the Hodgepodge Society, Jon Baker. This image, starring Blair Stackhouse and guest starring a Citizen's Bank ATM, perfectly displays the Hodgepodgian spirit. Although images of Hodgepodge Society members are accepted as legal tender in other countries, I'm pretty sure we haven't moved that legislation through Congress here...yet.
Here's a image from the Hodgepodge Society archives that has been dug up by Tom Lavanga. Back in 1972, in an effort to extend Hodgepoliday spirit to the Neptunians (the jerks of the solar system), the Hodgepodge Society launched GinShip25, the first 24 GinShips were aborted after they all exploded horribly. You'd be suprised how much our picture and the gin, which turns out to be poisonous to Neptunians, set back the Hodgepodge Space Program.
Here's an adorable picture that would bring Hodgepoliday cheer to any home, courtesy of Tina Bertino. Here our adorable picture tops a Christmas Tree letting everyone in your family know that the Hodgepolidays are a happy time. A time to reflect on the contributions you made to humr this year. It also helps get you drunk faster. We're not sure why.
We...we're not sure what's going on here. We hired a braintrust of intellectuals, ranging from Nobel Prize winners to literary powerhouses, and they couldn't figure it out...they were scared...a couple of them just stripped down to their underpants and walked out the door so that they could "find God". After hours of deliberation, we came to three possible conclusions: 1.) This is a picture of a girl riding her best friend...who also happens to be the genetic offspring of Dr. Martin and his boots. 2.) They are practicing the Nordic holiday ritual of "Glurdenflinkindonk", which is Scandinavian for "Let's shame bootfists and then have dinner". or 3.) The Hodgepoliday Portriat causes hysterical delusions so great, that any actions perfored whilst holding it can only be described as "crazy as all get out". Thanks for the picture ladies!
Thanks to Dan for this beyond fantastic entry!! Now, the Hodgepodge Society is no stranger to underwater adventuring. However our adventures are usually never this festive! If there's one thing we strive to do, it's to bring gift and sweater themed holidays to underwater creatures. It's a noble cause.
